A day trip to Salzburg = 30 years of romance
In the August 2025 the children of a couple from Vienna booked a transfer to Salzburg. The reason was the Pearl wedding of the parents - Married for 30 years, and the children had tickets for Maria Stuarda from Gaetano Donizetti with the Festivals worried.
One request came with the booking: a song was to be played on the trip. ‚The Power of Love‘ from Jennifer Rush – her song, since their wedding.
The chauffeur picked up the couple in Vienna. On the A1, somewhere between Linz and Salzburg, the song was playing. Nobody said anything. It was a moment that stood for itself.
In Salzburg, the chauffeur took her to the hotel and parked the car in the Mönchsberg garage – a few steps away from the old town. He spent the night in the city himself. The next day, after the opera, he drove her back to Vienna. Two days of accompaniment, a song, a story that wasn't in the booking - but what travel is all about.
